Short for Cannabidiol, CBD is one of the 120+ chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant.

Derived from hemp, CBD is not psychoactive. This means that the compound won’t impact or impair the normal functioning of your brain.

THC, another compound found in cannabis plants, is responsible for the mind-altering effects that mainstream America is aware of.

CBD and THC are not genetically similar, nor do they hit the same receptors in the human system. CBD binds with the body in a way that prevents THC from binding to traditional cannabinoid receptors.
